At the recharge desk
HAP Recharge
Takes cash and card for tickets and wallet top-ups, and keeps a drawer that balances at the end of a shift.
Are you here to buy a ticket?
Then none of this is for you. Tickets are bought on this website and arrive by email — browse events or find yours under My Tickets. The HAP app for going to events is at hap.live/download. Everything on this page is a staff tool and asks for a join code you cannot get.
What it does
- Sell a ticket or top up a wallet, online or queued offline until there is signal.
- Take cash against an opening float, count the drawer blind at close, and record the variance rather than hiding it.
- Correct a mistake at the counter, counter-signed on a supervisor’s own device.
- Pass queued sales through nearby phones when only one of them has a network.
Android
Installs and updates through Google Play like any other app. Open it, enter your join code, and you are enrolled.
iPhone
Coming to the App Store. It goes live here the day Apple approves the listing.
One thing worth planning around: when an iPhone’s screen is locked or the app is in the background, iOS stops Android devices being able to find it over Bluetooth. An iPhone still finds and syncs with everyone else. In practice iPhones make good fixed positions with the app open, and Android handsets make better roamers.
Getting access
HAP Recharge is useless without a join code, which an organiser issues per person from their console — one code, one handset. If you are staff and do not have one, ask whoever is running the event. If you are an organiser, the codes are in your dashboard under the team the app belongs to. Anything else — [email protected].
What each app stores on a phone, and for how long, is covered in the Privacy Policy.
