HAP (Hangout And Play)

HAP FOR ORGANISERS · MOVING FROM TOWNSCRIPT

Townscript has closed. Here is where to run your events next.

Townscript’s website now says its services have been discontinued. If you sold tickets there, HAP gives you ticketing, entry, guest lists and on-site payments in one place, built for events in India.

As of 2 November 2026, townscript.com shows only a notice that Townscript and Townhall services are no longer operational, and points past bookings to [email protected].

If your events, ticket types or attendee lists lived there, you will need to set them up somewhere new. The table below covers what an organiser coming from a self-serve ticketing tool usually needs, and how HAP handles each.

Moving to HAP

  1. Create your organiser account and set up your organisation.
  2. Recreate each upcoming event with its ticket types, prices and dates.
  3. Bring attendees or guests you have already confirmed: import them from a spreadsheet as complimentary passes so they get a HAP ticket with a QR for the gate.
  4. Share your new event link. Your HAP event page is ready for search and social sharing.
  5. For a larger event, talk to the events team before you start; they can plan gates, counters and devices with you.

Questions

Is Townscript still working?

No. As of 2 November 2026, townscript.com says Townscript and Townhall services are no longer operational. For bookings made there, its notice points to [email protected].

Can I move my attendee list to HAP?

Yes. Upload a spreadsheet of names with an email address or phone number for each, check it, and issue them passes for the ticket type you choose.

How quickly can I start selling on HAP?

You can build your event straight away. A new organisation is verified before its first event goes live, and you can keep building while that happens.

What does HAP cost?

HAP’s commission and settlement timeline are agreed for your event rather than published. Talk to the events team before you commit.
